Barely aged 24, Clara Moto already demonstrates an incredible maturity. After a childhood lit up by jazz and classic piano studies, she now stands up as one of the new faces of the Austrian electronic scene, having set with a couple of friends her own label Houseverbot and in organizing the reputable Birds parties at the Postgarage of Graz. Discovered at the latest editions of Sonar and Montreux festivals, Clara cultivates a femininity and an uncommon elegance on the fringes of minimal, microhouse and electronica through her Live-, Dj-sets and her productions.

“The line between sanguine and cloying is thin and can be hard for new artists to grasp, especially when synthesizers get involved. One blossoming young artist, Clara Moto, has learned its delicate contours very quickly, with a strong showing on her debut "Glove Affair" EP and an even deeper understanding on her second, "Silently" (due out this October on Infiné). Moto tailors her tracks for DJs' hands while maintaining the songwriting more often found in electro pop. "Silently" might well be her best track yet, Moto's sharp and strong multi-tracked vocals bobbing and weaving harmonies around glancing synth lines which faun at her romantic lyrics. And "Hiding In the Bottom Drawer" is no slouch either, its plooms of organ melodies (reminiscent of Mates of State, actually) invoking a sense of wonder in listeners before the lancing hi-hats guide them to the dance floor. For this young Austrian producer, the melodic balancing act is the easy part, which clears the way for a music career that demands close attention.” (RDRCD)
